Day 1 – Melbourne to Halls Gap
Embark on an unforgettable journey to the stunning Grampian mountain ranges, where history, nature and culture collide. Our adventure begins with a stop at Ballarat and Sovereign Hill, a living museum where you can step back in time to the gold rush era. From there, we head to the Grampians, where you'll be immersed in the rich traditions of the local indigenous people at the Brambuk Aboriginal cultural centre. Marvel at the ancient rock art paintings in shelters throughout the park, and take in the breathtaking views from Boroka and Reeds Lookout.
At Mackenzie's Falls, witness the power and majesty of nature as the water cascades down the cliffs. As the sun sets, spot kangaroos, wallabies and wild birds, before retiring to your comfortable accommodation in Hall Gap. This is a day you'll never forget!
Day 2 – Halls Gap to Apollo Bay
Today is an unforgettable adventure along one of the most iconic coastal drives in the world. The Great Ocean Road boasts breathtaking views that will leave you speechless, and we suggest starting early to make the most of it. Along the way, we'll stop at London Bridge, The Grotto, Bay of Islands, and Lock Ard Gorge, where a 19th-century shipwreck adds a sense of awe and mystery to the place. But the real highlight of the tour is the famous 12 Apostles, where limestone stacks rise precariously from the Southern Ocean. We'll take a narrow path down to the beach at Gibson's Steps to get up close and personal with the towering cliffs and the remaining stacks.
As if that weren't enough, we'll also detour through the ancient Otway National Park, home to some of the most pristine rainforest in Victoria. We'll end the day in the charming town of Apollo Bay, where you can walk among the towering Mountain Ash at Maits Rest or discover gorgeous fern gullies and giant beech trees up to 300 years old. Don't forget your camera, as the urge to capture the epic scenery will be irresistible!
Day 3 – Apollo Bay to Melbourne
The day begins with a visit to Kennett River, where guests can witness koalas in their natural habitat. The tour then proceeds to explore picture-perfect waterfalls such as Erskine Falls and Teddy's Lookout above Lorne.
Afterward, guests will sit down to a delightful lunch in Lorne with the sparkling sea as a backdrop, a true pleasure in life. The road then hugs the coast all the way to Torquay with the Memorial Arch serving as the gateway to the Great Ocean Road.
Visit the Split Point Lighthouse in Airey's Inlet and make a detour to the famous waves of Bells Beach, where the Rip Curl Pro is held each year.
Finally, the tour concludes with just over an hour drive back to Melbourne, completing the epic 3-day adventure of a lifetime.
